■External Exposure and Internal Exposure
What is the difference between external exposure and internal exposure?
When radiation comes from a source outside your body, it's called "external exposure." When radioactive materials get inside your body and expose you to radiation, that's "internal exposure."

■Three Ways to Reduce External Exposure
To reduce external exposure, you can: 1. Keep a safe distance from the radiation source, 2. Use shielding to block the radiation, and 3. Limit the time you spend near the source.
